Bank Holiday Ride 28th December 09.......

It was a good turn out, Jeremy, Ann , Karl , fresh from changing nappies Richard (lens) Lloydy & even Burty had dusted of his Kona to make a rare appearance!

We set off up to the top of New road and dived into the woods to be greeted with a lot of mud and ice.

Being a Bank Holiday everyone was out and about walking off there Christmas food, we headed towards Thunder Dell then did a loop round the Monument, it was hard to go fast at this point not because of the conditions but due to the amount of people lingering around

We eventually crossed Toms Hill Road to make our way back to Berko, on passing Norcott Hill Farm Burty got a puncture, not any old puncture..the tyre had been blown up by the force of it - Jeremy went ahead to get replacements and it was repaired in due course

We then headed down the road to Berko, the temperature had dropped and the delight was seen on the faces as we reached the Riser

The beer and the snuff flowed and we were rewarded with fantastic toasted sandwiches, which as Jeremy remarked `tasted even better as we didn`t have to pay for them`!!

The banter increased through out the afternoon and a good time was had by all, we left in the dark and drifted home our separate ways………….

Roll on the next ride!!
